Members gather in VukovarFull membership is open to foreign veterans of the Slovenian, Croatian and Bosnian Wars for Independence and the War for the Liberation of Kosova.

Veterans must have served for at least three months in a front-line brigade of the regular Armed Forces of the Republic of Croatia between April 1991 and September 1995, the Federation of Bosnia-Hercegovina between March 1992 and February 1996, the Territorial Defence Forces of Slovenia throughout the period of its war for independence 1991, served in the Kosova Liberation Army for three months outside of Kosova or for seven days inside Kosova, during the period of Serb occupation between January 1998 and July 1999. Frontline service of even one day will be considered on individual merit.

Applicants must have documentary evidence of their service.

Full membership is also open to those of Slovenian, Croatian, Bosnian and Kosovar-Albanian ethnicity who also hold citizenship of other countries (ie Australian Croats, German Bosnians, Canadian Kosovars, etc).

Membership will be refused to any person who was or is involved in any criminal activity in any country, in the mistreatment of civilians, "ethnic cleansing" or other acts of barbarity that contravene the Geneva Conventions. In addition, any persons who behaved dishonourably in Croatia, Bosnia-Hercegovina or Kosova, damaged the reputation of the International Volunteers or made any public criticism of the Republic of Croatia, Federation of Bosnia-Hercegovina, Protectorate of Kosova or their comrades in arms during those conflicts.

The use of false names or pseudonyms for the purpose of joining the Association is banned.

Associate membership is given to any citizen who has helped International Volunteers, Croatian, Bosnian and Kosovar veterans, war injured persons and refugees of the above conflicts.

Annual membership fees are payable upon acceptance; �10.00 sterling (16 Euros/ 120HrK) for members living in the EEC and western European countries, North America and Australasia; �5.00 sterling (8 Euros/60HrK) for members living in Croatia, Bosnia, Kosova, or former communist countries of Europe.
