LONDON WELCOMES NEW CROATIAN AMBASSADOR
Thursday, February 6, 2003
December 17th 2002 marked the formal presentation of Croatia's new Ambassador to Britain, HE Mr Josko Paro to Elizabeth, Queen of England. Ambassador Paro was a member of the Croatian Foreign Ministry and served as personal advisor to former Foreign Minister Mate Granic at the Dayton talks in America that led to a ceasefire and the beginning of the end for Milosevic. In 2000 he was Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs in the new coalition government and was a member of the Croatian-Yugoslav Commission On The Return Of Refugees. After his presentation at St. James Palace, a large diplomatic reception was held at the Lanesborough Hotel at Hyde Park Corner in London. Many diplomats and other people connected with Croatia were there, including CFIVA Secretary Daniel Kington, representing the international volunteer veterans of the Association.
We would like to sincerely thank the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia, through it's Defence Attache Brigadir Milan Knezevic for again taking the trouble to invite us to this important event in the diplomatic calendar.
