Unknown VolunteerA German volunteer serving alongside Englishman Cody Richmond (see entry above), he was serving with the 2nd Battalion of the 104th Brigade HVO when he participated in a reconnaissance of Serb positions at Grebina in Bosanska Posavina. He was in No Manﾒs Land, just a hundred metres from Serb lines when his group came under intense enemy rifle fire and both he and Cody were killed. That night, the 2nd Battalionﾒs Intervention team went out and were able to recover the Germanﾒs body though they were unable to locate Cody. The incident occurred in 1993 or 1994.
