Edmond JardasA Belgian-Flemish volunteer, Edmund served in 118. Brigade ZNG-RH/HV and possibly in 9th Guards Brigade HV. He was killed in 1993. Though his body was repatriated to Belgium, his parents were told nothing about the circumstances of his death and no further details are known. In his memory a charitable organisation was founded by his friends and family. Called the Edmond Jardas Parents Plan this organisation provided financial sponsorship to children orphaned by the war and between 1996 and 2002 restored and re-equipped a war-damaged school at Obravac near Zadar.
