Unknown VolunteerHe was a member of HOS, the paramilitary wing of the Croatian Party of Rights (HSP), based in Mostar, Bosnia-Hercegovina. In October 1992 he participated in the major Bosnian-Croat attack on the Yugoslav Army controlled aerodrome on the outskirts of the city. A fierce battle raged with heavy casualties before the runway was eventually captured. The American volunteer was killed in action during this operation though full details of the circumstances of his death are unknown. His father reportedly offered $30,000 for the return of his sonﾒs body, yet it was never found.
